A study by the Comprehensive Stroke & Cerebrovascular Center at MUSC found that endovascular reperfusion in ischemic stroke may be effective and safe, and may allow patient selection not solely based on time from symptom onset. The results were published in the Journal of NeuroInterventional Surgery.
