U.S. News & World Report rated the Medical University of South Carolina the best hospital in the Lowcountry and recognized 13 of its treatment programs in the publication’s hospital rankings. The publication ranked MUSC nationally for its treatment of ears, nose and throat ailments (41st) and gastroenterology (36th); and, among children’s hospitals, it was ranked for pediatric cardiology and heart surgery (17th). The hospital also was named a Nationally Ranked Hospital.
